FAQ
1. Is invisible orthodontic treatment painful?
The treatment is generally not painful. When a new set of aligners is fitted, there may be a slight feeling of pressure or tightness, which is a normal sign that the teeth are gradually moving. This sensation usually fades within a few days.
2. Is invisible orthodontic treatment really more expensive?
Many people assume that invisible orthodontic treatment is more expensive. However, when the total cost is considered over the entire course of treatment, it is comparable to the cost of traditional braces. With an invisible aligner system, the treatment is planned in advance and offered at a transparent package price, with no hidden costs.
3. How long does the treatment take?
Treatment time varies from person to person and depends on the condition of the teeth and the desired result. In general, treatment can take anywhere from a few months to 1–3 years. Your expected treatment duration can be determined more precisely during your consultation.
4. Can I eat and drink while wearing the aligners?
Aligners should always be removed before eating. Drinking water while wearing them is fine. For all other drinks, we recommend removing the aligners to help prevent staining and potential damage.
5. Are aligners uncomfortable when speaking?
Most patients get used to wearing their aligners within a few days. At first, you may notice a slight change in your speech or increased saliva production, but these effects usually disappear quickly as you adjust to the aligners.
6. How should I clean my aligners?
Your aligners should be cleaned at least twice a day, and ideally every time you remove them. We recommend using orthodontic cleaning tablets to soak and thoroughly clean the aligners.
7. Why are more and more people choosing invisible aligners?
Traditional fixed braces have been an effective solution for decades. However, modern invisible orthodontic systems offer a range of benefits that make them an increasingly popular choice for patients.
